Tee it Up – The way to get your kids started in golf!

“Tee it Up” with the Joplin Area Junior Golf Program!

The Joplin Golf Foundation in conjunction with area PGA Professionals and High School Golf Coaches from Carthage, Joplin, Webb City and Carl Junction have put together a junior golf development program for area youth. The program is open to area youth that are entering grades 3rd through 8th.  Golf instruction will be administered by area PGA Professionals and High School Golf Coaches. Instruction that will be covered includes the short game, full swing, course safety, etiquette and an introduction to playing the golf course. If a child does not have any golf clubs, don’t worry, the Joplin Golf Foundation has your child covered! “Tee it Up” will provide equipment during instruction and playing opportunities.

Two sessions will be held on the following Monday mornings

June 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th

The first session is from 8:00 – 9:30 AM for children entering grades 3rd – 5th

The second session is from 9:30 – 11:00 AM for children entering grades 6th – 8th

 

June 26th “Tee it Up” Party at Rangeline Golf Center!

“Tee it Up” junior golf party at Rangeline Golf from 6:00 – 8:00PM. All of the “Tee it Up” participants are invited out for pizza and fun at Rangeline golf.

“Tee it Up” Drive, Chip and Putt Night!

June 8th “Tee it Up” participants are invited to the Drive, Chip and Putt Practice Night! hosted by Carthage Golf Course from 5:00 – 7:00PM. This event will give youth golfers an opportunity to practice the Drive, Chip and Putt competition in preparation for the local qualifier in Springfield, MO on June 22nd or Rogers, AR on June 18th.

On Course Development Opportunities

Briarbrook Golf Course, Carthage Golf Course and Schifferdecker Golf Course are hosting a schedule of playing opportunities for the participants of “Tee it Up”. Those youth completing all areas of instruction, etiquette and course safety will have supervised playing opportunities at these area courses. More information on dates and times will be provided during instruction sessions.
